Being married

One of the things I love about my marriage is the trust we have in each other.

Sometimes my wife will go out with her friends for dinner and drinks.  I have no worries that she will do anything with anyone that will hurt me.  She's just not that sort of woman.

And while she's out, her friends ask her how she can be so sure that I'm not doing anything behind her back with another woman.  She likes to share this story with them.

I was alone in a restaurant having lunch and looking out through the glass doors at a nice sports car when a woman walked in.  I was aware that it was a woman by the clothes she wore.  I was also aware that she was blocking my view.

She walked past an empty table and I thought to myself, "Why doesn't she just sit down?"  As she got closer, I thought "Maybe she's meeting someone who's sitting at a table behind me."

Then she stopped right in front of me, completely blocking my view.  Unable to see the car, I took another mouthful and only looked up at her when she called my name.

Vicky is a rather attractive woman, and she complained to my wife that I had paid her no attention while she was walking towards me.  That in itself was enough to convince my wife that I have eyes only for her.

Nor could anyone tempt me with a sports car, because I can't drive.  Mind you, if someone offered me a chauffeur-driven Lexus SUV, I might be tempted.
